OUR PUZZLE IS COMPLETE!!! We honestly can’t believe it and are bursting with gratitude thinking of everyone who generously gave to help bring our baby home! This puzzle is a clear representation of what it looks like when a community of people come together.
The past few weeks we have been a little quiet on here as we spent time at training for our jobs and celebrated the beautiful wedding of Katie’s younger sister, Anna. Our dear friend Mary also used her insane baking skills to host a cake decorating class where all of the proceeds went to our adoption!
We are so amazed that we were able to meet this fundraising goal of ours that will help with a good portion of our adoption costs. This puzzle will forever remain a sign to us and to our future child of all the love and support we have in our lives. In this process, there are multiple moments where we can second-guess ourselves and question how it will all work out. Every time that happens, God sends us affirmation and peace from one of YOU. From conversations we have had, to stories that have been shared with us about other’s encounters with adoption, to the overwhelming financial support we have received, peace is being planted in our hearts.
The only thing we are waiting on before we can start the process of being matched with an expectant mom is Katie’s birth certificate from Texas. We are required to have certified copies of all of our legal documents and this particular one has taken longer than we anticipated. Please pray that it comes quickly and if anyone has connections with the Texas government feel free to help us out ;) Even though the puzzle is complete, if anyone would like to donate to our adoption, we will still write your name on there to be represented! All donations will continue to help us offset the cost. We love y’all and hopefully our next news will be that we are an active family!
