We are so excited to announce that we are pursuing adoption to bring home Baby M #2! Following Xavier’s adoption in 2019, we knew that we would enter the process of adoption again. We believe love makes a family, and our family has so much room to grow and more love to give. Our hearts are full of hope and expectancy as we wait to meet the child and expectant parent(s) that will join ours. We are so ready to love on another little life and welcome them into our family!
We have been spending all of our free time in the summer updating our home study, getting ready to move out of our apartment into our first home, and soaking up our time as a family of 3. We started this blog the first time we went through the process of adoption so that we could bring our family, friends, and those we had yet to meet along with us on the adventure. God has done so much in our hearts over the past 2 years but we would be lying if we said that we didn’t have any nervousness or fear about walking down this road again. But for real, do you remember the surprising rollercoaster of our journey to Xavier?! We both had to go to counseling to unpack all the craziness that happened once we were home. In truth, God has blessed us with the family we had always hoped for. He has shown us that His plan is truly the best and as much as we might think we have control over it, we don’t. Any time we doubt God’s plan we just walk over to Xavier and give him a big kiss on his squishy little cheek. If things had gone the way we wanted initially in our marriage, he wouldn’t have ended up in our lives. It’s a scary thought as we both often say to each other how we cannot imagine a world where Xavier Joseph isn’t our son. When it comes down to it, we wouldn't change a second of this wild faith journey God has us on. We can’t wait to see what's in store for us as we continue to say YES to His plan for our family!
